Please see the images below and the enlargements. The Enchantress Planter shipped with a ready assortment of plastic greenery and flowers that are extremely beautiful. In fact, the Enchantress Planter is my favourite vintage Lava Lite model.

The Wave Machine is also featured. Lava Lite lamps featured include: The Century, Enchantress Planter, GemLite, Continental (this model is not candle powered and is totally different to the Candle powered Savoy/ Continental lamps) and Carlisle models.

In the JCPenney 1979 Christmas sales catalog, one can see a wide range of beautiful lighting products from Disco scene Mood Makers like the Glitterball and the Strobe light. More importantly we see two colours of the Enchantress Planter Lava Lite and two colours of the Aristocrat models.

Further to this, we see the Wave Machine with the silver base and silver caps. To the base of the page we also see the beautiful GemLite square glitter lamp from Lava. Please see the images below.

Funky Note: LAX Encounter Lava Lamps. Out of this world!

Sales of the Lava Lite sadly dropped in the 1980s as the lamps went out of fashion. In the 1990s these lamps came back into popular demand. This site really focuses on the vintage years of the Lava Lite during the 1960s and the 1970s. However the lamps became so very funky that they were everywhere. They were in homes again, dorms, TV sets, films and even in restaurants.

In fact, more Lava Lites were sold in the 1990s than in the 60s, 70s & 80s combined! So I thought I'd show some really cool very special custom lamps that were created for a very special restaurant called The Encounter near the LAX in the USA.
