Below: The images below show a copy of Sears 1969 Christmas Book. They feature the Aristrocrat, Mediterranean Lava Lite models and the Wave Machine for sale. The Mediterranean stands out with its black metal work that is so exotic looking. Don't you just love the old style graphics and adverts? On the right you can also see Coors lamps for sale. The Lava lamps were often placed in the decorative lighting section, next to rain lamps and other decorative forms of lighting.

Lava Lites were sold through retail and also mail-order distribution in the 1970s. In the Sears 1970 Wishbook, we can see the Aristocrat for sale but also a very rare "Consort" style lamp which features a gleaming chrome plated metal base and trim. Please see images below.

Firstly we can see the Coach Lantern Lava Lite, Aristocrat which was sold in two different colour ways and also the slightly more tropical designed: Mediterranean model. Please see the image below.

This Lantern is a far less well-built Lantern in comparison to the Gleaming Copper Coach Lantern seen in the 1971 Sears Wishbook.
