Feature: Vintage Continental Lava Lite Model.

This page is dedicated to two vintage Lava-Simplex models that represent some of the different designs and shapes that Lava brought to market in the 1970s. These two lamp designs featured Lava and also GemLite, which was a fast moving glitter formula. A big thank you goes to El Metador for taking these wonderful photos of these pieces in his collection.

The Continental Lava Lite (seen below) featured an interestingly shaped bottle featuring round corners and was dimensionally very thin. This lamp featured an interesting base and cap which was cut at a slant offering a unique shape in the Lava range. Please see the images below which show the lamp's construction and elegance.

Feature: Vintage Mystique GemLite Model.

The Mystique design just like the Continental was sold with Lava liquids and also the GemLite formula.

This particular design features a square bottle sitting in a square base and cap. This design was perhaps the most modern that Lava introduced, and was completely minimal and rectangular in its form factor.

Please see the photos below. Models featuring GemLite fluid are often seen with a rainbow on the base of the bottle to create wonderful coloured light. A big thank you goes to El Metador for taking these wonderful photos.
