Feature: The Carlisle. A beautiful & elegant vintage lava lamp.
Feature: Special Gallery Regarding the Carlisle Lava Lite. This small page of Hippielight.com is dedicated to one particular model/ design of the vintage Lava Lite collection: The Carlisle. The Carlisle is a pretty unique design in many respects but at its heart it uses a 32oz bottle, just like the Enchantress Planter, Enchantress and other designs. In many ways, Lava were innovative, by having different base and cap designs around the same 32oz bottle. The base unlike many lava lamps is very simple and when the lamp is assembled, it reveals this cone like structure. This is why I call the design, a cone of blobs. In many ways I believe this design inspired the 1990s design for the Wizard (Which features a more pointed cap). The photos above and directly below show a Carlisle, and these images were kindly donated by Erin. These images show that the beautiful vintage Lava Lites still have a place in modern stylish homes and are very unique forms of lighting. Thank you to Erin from Modern Revival for the images above and below.

Below: Additional photos of the Carlisle. Including: Lamp flowing and base shots. Thank you to Jim for the images below.
Below: Whilst, I was building the webpage, there was a Carlisle for sale on ebay with some lovely photos. The photos were kindly donated by: Jed Slezewski. A big thank you goes to him. The images below show a great Carlisle, off, the base which features starlight holes to let out light, the bottle & base, inside the base, and the wonderful flow of the vintage American produced product.
